MINIMUM WAGE INCREASED EFFECTIVE JULY 24, 2009!
Employers beware!!! If you have not done so already, you may need to give your employees pay raises for those who do not make at least $7.25 per hour either as an hourly rate or an hourly rate plus tips, as in the case of tipped employees.
Minimum wage for tipped employees will not increase. It remains at $2.83 per hour in Pennsylvania. The employer is responsible for ensuring that the remaining $4.42 per hour is made in tips. If it is not, the employer is responsible for making up the difference.
